In 1950, "Open Kettle", a donut restaurant opened by Bill Rosenberg in 1948, changed its name to "Dunkin Donuts", becoming the first Dunkin Donuts restaurant and the beginning of a worldwide success story. Incidentally, it can still be found at 543 Southern Artery in Quincy, Massachusetts and is open 24 hours a day.
