Arborio Risotto Rice
Arborio rice, is named after the town of Arborio in Italy. This famous short-grain rice when cooked, the rounded grains get firm, creamy and chewy compared to other grains, due to it's higher amylopectin starch content. Famously used to make risotto dishes and puddings. This grain is the first to be grown outside Italy, in Northern Greece.
