Casanuova di Nittardi 2017 Chianti Classico is a very special wine as its label is created by the great Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis. 2017 vintage has already received some excellent reviews (93pts from James Suckling), but what makes it absolutely collectible and deeply emotional is its label and wrap!
The content of the bottle is 100% Sangiovese from the vineyard Vigna Doghessa. The wine ages for 14 months in old French oak barrels. After, it's bottled and aged for a few months in the bottle, remaining in the cellar of the winery. It has deep purple color and impressive aromas of sour cherry, plum, cherry and blueberry accompanied by sweet and spicy spices and some botanical hints as well. Juicy mouth, with rich fruit, medium to full body, crisp acidity and medium(+) but well-polished tannins.
