The viticultural wealth of the Amyntaio region
is staggering and Lawrence Hartmann relies
on 60- and 100-year-old vines to produce this
ultra-elegant Xinomavro, an "ode" to this
particular mountainous terroir. 2018 gave a
surprising elegance to the wine, with tannins
in the mouth that are as if they are
embroidered, combined with the floral and
fruity character, a trademark of the region.
Lawrence himself worked on the extractions
only with pigeage for absolute elegance in the
result, he lowered the sulphites a lot and the
result he achieved managed to enchant us.
Red fruit, floral character, tomato,
expressiveness, but above all electrified
energy that permeates the body from head to
toe.
