Metageitnion is like an oxidizing Savagnin of the Jura region that landed on some of the steep shores of the Paliki peninsula. From centuries-old, autocratic vines of the Vostylidi variety, Evryviadis Sclavos produces the most "natural" of its wines. Metageitnion is the producer's memories from his grandfather, a wine which after the press goes into 500lt barrels and foudres and is left to ferment in peace. It remains there for a year without any interference whatsoever from Euryviadis. It is bottled with lots of love without adding anything and without sulphites. It is a special, oxidizing style, with strength and volume reminiscent of red wine, bringing as a signature the characteristic honeyed richness of this unique local variety.
