Le Crocine, the wine named after the winery, is a sincere expression of a Bordeaux blend from coastal Tuscany. The colour is a deep, vibrant ruby red and the wine exudes an inviting olfactory profile characterised by notes of ripe dark fruit together with a subtle, typically Mediterranean spiciness. Refined on palate, it is very drinkable, closing with a remarkable persistence.
VINIFICATION:
Upon reaching the desired level of ripeness, the grapes are harvested and brought into the cellar. Selection of the grapes is a fundamental process before destemming and transferral of the must into steel tanks. Temperature-controlled fermentation and maceration take place over a period of approximately two to three weeks, with each process kept under strict control to avoid excessive extraction. Upon completion of malolactic fermentation, the wine spends about a year ageing before being bottled.
