In the year of sunsets and the rise of empires, in a quiet and peaceful place in the southern part of the island of Corfu, a man known by the nickname Ruvelas opens the first taverna. His fame spreads across the island like the song of the robin. Talent and hospitality bring together people from near and far to taste the delicacies, homemade tsipouro, and wine of Ruvelas, prepared from recipes kept and passed down from father to son. A hundred years later, far from home but close to the heart, the great-grandson of Ruvelas revives the tradition of homemade Greek dishes and drinks. This place will be known as Papous Tsipouradiko – where the food and tsipouro remind us of the warmth and Taste of Home.
