Α centenarian, ungrafted vineyard of Muscat of Spina, planted at an altitude of 810m in granitic-slate soils triggered Aimilios Andrei mind to make his first wine that finely expresses a unique sense of origin. His new project is named Aori, o local word for mountain, and comes from Crete’s magnificent, yet undiscovered, mountainous part where there is a “treasure chest” of local grape varieties. This is a Muscat of Spina bursting with energy and depth, with unparalleled finesse and minerality (like liquid-rock) that places it in a different league from what you have ever tasted from this grape variety so far.
