Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Kaefferkopf 2019
Explosive bouquet nose of passion fruits, fresh apricots, lychee and spices. The nose just jumps out of the glass in a blaze of spicy, honeyed glory. Note the intensity, the power, but the delicate touch on the finish. Such balance is far from easy to achieve.
Varietal: 100% Gewurztraminer
Vinification: The fermentation of the naturally cleared musts takes place with native yeasts in either stainless steel or traditional oak, and after racking, the wines are kept on lees until May (Alsace AOC) and respectively September (single vineyards) before bottling.
Cellaring: 5 to 10 years
