Organoleptic Characteristics
It is characterized by the primary flavors of the variety, the freshness and the bright raspberry red color, producing a rosé unlike any other. On the nose it gives flavors from mature apple and pear, and in the mouth it leaves sweet tastes from banana, melon, and strawberry.
Vinification
Cornetto Rosé is made from the Mavro grape, one of several varietals that is indigenous to Cyprus, and like the other indigenous Cypriot varietals such as Maratheftiko, Spourtiko, and Xinisteri, among others, it is absolutely unique in the world. After thousands of years of cultivation in the local soil and climate, Mavro and the others have evolved a very special character. The high quality wine produced from them boasts a very full body with very delicate yet intense perfumes.
