In 2011, Lal Babu Prasad arrived in Estonia with nothing but courage and a love for his work. Without speaking a word of Estonian, English, or Russian, he stepped into the kitchen of the Bollywood restaurant in Tallinn’s Old Town and decided to make it work. The early days were tough. There were moments when he doubted himself—wondering why he had embarked on this journey at all. But Babu isn’t the type to turn back. He mastered the language, found his rhythm, and fell in love with a country that was nothing like home—yet somehow felt like home. He worked, honed his skills, and carried a quiet dream within him: to open his own restaurant. That dream came true when Babu Juures opened its doors on Rüütli Street in Pärnu—an authentic and heartfelt Asian restaurant built on one man’s determination and two decades of passion.
