The leaves are dark green in the centre melding to a lighter green at the margins and alternate light splotches down the centre line. The veins are an eye-catching red, running down the centre of the leaf and branching out in a herringbone pattern. This plant filters airborne toxins and is part of our clean air plant collection. It is non-toxic and therefore safe around children and animals.
Light: Place your Prayer Plant in bright, indirect light. Avoid putting it in direct sun—too much sun will fade the leaf colours and burn the foliage.
Water: Water your Prayer Plant when the top 25% of the soil is dry. Water until liquid flows through the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot and discard any water that has accumulated in the saucer.
Humidity: Your Prayer Plant appreciates humidity, so lightly mist it every few days.
Temperature: Average to warm temperatures from 18-27°C but can cope with as low as 15°C.
Fertilization: Feed once a month during the spring and summer with a liquid fertilizer for indoor plants.
Additional care: You can prune your Prayer Plant to encourage fuller, more vigorous growth. Use a sterilized pair of sharp scissors and clip the stems right above a leaf node. The plant will grow new shoots directly below the cut area making for a bushier appearance.
