π Would you tell us a little about the start of the business? Where did you get the idea from? Why gyros? π₯ We opened in 2020 in the midst of Covid, and we carried on rain or shine, as all the planning and the first baby steps had taken place before the lockdown. Iβd been around Europe as a truck driver, and given that, had been always a true fan of gyros. So wherever I went abroad, I tried the local one and gradually I understood what it takes to make the perfect gyros. Then one day a great friend of mine mentioned they were planning to open a restaurant in town, and was looking for partners, I said yes immediately. And why gyros? We began brainstorming, took a whole range of possible street food into consideration when we realised there had been no authentic Greek gyros place in Debrecen. It was clear where our path leads. π What makes Zeusz Gyros special for the customers? π₯ I think our uniqueness is in the fact that we are still "guests" in our own restaurant. From the first minute, we built everything in a way that mirrors what we expect from a guest's point of view, starting from cleanliness through the quality of the food to the standard of service. We do our best every day so that our guests are always satisfied. π How can you describe the authentic Greek gyros? π₯ The most important thing is the meat, it provides the basis for the whole thing. If you don't have deliciously juicy, spicy gyros meat, then any more effort is pointless. I think all stands or falls on this. π In your opinion what can Zeusz represent in Budapest? π₯ I believe - and I hope our customers do, too - that the name Zeusz is a synonym for quality. Delicious food in a pleasant environment, in the heart of the Great Forest. Breaking away from the daily grind and sitting on our terrace with a delicious meal is the ultimate recharge. π What should we know about the ingredients, where do you get them from? π₯We work with several suppliers. We buy meat and vegetables from Hungarian producers. We get the French fries from a foreign company, which we believe is one of the best french fries on the market right now. And of course, the main ingredients come from Greece. π How could the walk-in guests and Wolt guests fit together, what are the experiences? π₯Luckily enough, itβs hard to manage everything, especially so in the summer season. We have to cope in a relatively small place which we outgrew in the first year already. For this reason and to keep up the highest standards, we sometimes need to come to a halt over the summer, and this explains why weβre busy opening our second branch. Itβs basically all set, just the current economic situation makes us wait a little longer, only a couple of months. We hope for a smooth year for delivery in 2023 throughout! π Which meal is your personal favourite and why? π₯My favourite is the βGreek pitaβ. Whenever I taste it, I realise just how much I love how the flavours come together.
