Role background

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. On our mobile app or website, customers can order their favorite meals from our restaurant partners, and either pick their order up or have it delivered by our courier partners. 
Just 2 years ago, Wolt operated in 4 countries and 10 cities across the Nordics. Fast forward to today, we’re in 22 countries and over 80 cities across EMEA, servicing over 5M registered users. 

Our journey within Czechia and Slovakia started with our Prague launch in the summer of 2018. Since then, we’ve expanded to Brno, Bratislava and Košice, with more growth expected in the next 12 months. 

We’re now looking for a motivated Head of Sales to take ownership of the commercial activities in the region. A large part of the role is managing a sales team that is among the best performing ‘Woltwide’. They already set high standards and expectations of themselves, and so they need a leader that can not only embrace this, but help to push them onto the next level!

As such, you’ll need to be the sales expert that can identify and introduce ways to work more effectively, help the team to overcome challenges and also get stuck in with some hands-on client management. 

Reporting into the General Manager, you’ll also work with other team leads in the region to create the commercial strategy and plot the roadmap for our continued growth in both countries.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading and developing the restaurant team, including recruiting, performance management and target setting. 
  • Owning the financial and operational performance of the restaurant team.
  • Creating and implementing a sales strategy for the market.
  • Managing all sales activities in the market.
  • Conducting negotiations with large partnerships.
  • Having a deep understanding of the market and competition.

Our humble expectations

  • Proven track record from managing a high performing sales team and leading from the front.
  • Excellent analytical skills - such as translating data into actions, or analysing sales metrics and producing relevant KPIs. 
  • Experience from within either the HORECA or tech industries.
  • Passion for sales and networking, with strong local connections.
  • Fluent in English and Czech.
