Backend Engineer, LiveOps
We are looking for reinforcement into our LiveOps-team to help us scale up our operations. We currently serve over 7 Million monthly users, and it takes some reeeal hard work from our dedicated customer support teams in each of the 23 countries, to ensure the satisfaction of those customers. We take pride in the quality of our customer operations, so here is a chance for you to make things even better for everyone involved.
In short, the LiveOps team is responsible for the tooling and problem solving for the customer support teams. We are scaling at 🚀-speed, making it more crucial than ever to have our customer support keep up with the g-forces involved. The tools include our own, in-house built tools as well as 3rd party integrations.
This is where you come in. The team consists of four skilled engineers for now and we want to bring you in to strengthen the team! The team is working closely with the other engineering teams, and has the support of a product lead and our design team when creating something brand new.
You should be hungry for solving issues and to improve the existing features - all for the benefit of our customers. You hopefully have a love for problem-solving, and a versatile skill set with results over tools mentality. This means that you should take great ownership and have a willingness to drive a change on the backend and continuously improve it without the rest of the team proposing it, yet backed by the help of the team.
Our humble expectations
Our backend stack consists of Node.js (TypeScript), Scala and Python, so experience with these would be highly beneficial. Node.js is a must - Python and Scala are optional but we hope that you are not afraid to learn new programming languages.
Experience dealing with high-load and backends designed for scale
Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Devops experience is required (preferably from Kubernetes + Terraform + Kustomizer).
Machine learning experience is a plus.
Experience with GDPR and/or working with systems containing personal data is a plus as well as overall security awareness.

The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and Wolt stock options.
