Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. On our mobile app or website, customers can order their favorite meals from our restaurant partners and either pick their order up or have it delivered by our courier partners. Four years ago, Wolt operated in 4 countries and 10 cities across the Nordics. Fast forward to today, we’re in 23 countries and over 100+ cities, servicing over 5M registered users.
Wolt has been growing rapidly in Denmark ever since we entered the market in 2017. As such we now need someone to lead and develop our field sales team!
For Wolt, everything starts with restaurants. If there are no restaurants, there are no customers and if there are no customers, there are no couriers. Thus, restaurant operations are a crucial part of Wolt’s success in every city and country. Today, our restaurant operation is split into three sections; acquisition, onboarding and support. Now we’re adding another section: development.
As the Restaurant Development Team Lead you’ll be responsible for building our Account Management team and function. The team will manage and develop our restaurant portfolio and its key metrics to benefit customers, restaurant partners, courier partners and Wolt. We’re looking for someone who has a real passion for establishing strong relationships and has the ability to use strong analytical thinking to identify improvement areas by testing, implementing, and evaluating actions. This is a new team and you’ll be at the forefront of defining how we work with restaurant partners going forward.
What you’ll be doing
Managing the relationship and performance of the restaurant portfolio to ensure mutual value is created to both restaurant partners, courier partners, customers and Wolt.
Using your analytical competencies to dissect restaurant data and identify improvement areas.
Testing how to work with restaurant partners at scale, evaluating results and building seamless processes to make sure you and your team structure your work efficiently and create results.
Re-negotiating general terms and condition of key restaurant partners.
Ensuring the success of your team by setting targets, sparring, coaching, managing their efforts, and whatever else it takes.
Ensuring the well-being of the team.
Evangelizing best practices and actively consulting your team.
Recruiting new talented Restaurant Development Managers into your team.
Facilitating a strong communications loop alongside the Restaurant Onboarding and Support Lead and Restaurant Partnership Lead.
Our humble expectations
Experience - You have a solid track record as a Business Developer or as a Senior Account Manager.
Analytical skills and good business flair - You have the ability to ‘think big’ as well as execute ‘on-the-fly’ via understanding the dynamics behind the business through your analysis of large data sets.
Project management - You know how to manage internal as well as external stakeholders, and how to implement projects in a structured and logical method.
Effective communication - Outstanding interpersonal and business skills. Able to quickly establish gravitas and credibility with a range of stakeholders.
Good leadership skills or potential - You know how to motivate, coach, and educate team members to reach their full potential. Previous experience in managing a team is a plus.
Fluen in Danish and English.
Extra points if you also have the following
Previous experience in building up a new function and/or Account Management team or similar.
Experience working with BI tools, databases, SQL, or similar.
Experience from the restaurant or hospitality industry to better relate to our business.
