Role background

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. On our mobile app or website, customers can order their favorite meals from our restaurant partners and either pick their order up or have it delivered by our courier partners. 

4 years ago, Wolt operated in 4 countries and 10 cities across the Nordics. Fast forward to today, we’re in 23 countries and over 100+ cities, servicing over 5M registered users. Wolt has been growing rapidly in Norway ever since we entered the market in 2017.

For Wolt, everything starts with restaurants. If there are no restaurants, there are no customers and if there are no customers, there are no couriers. Thus, restaurant operations are a crucial part of Wolt’s success in every city and country. Today, our restaurant operation is split into three sections; acquisition, onboarding and support. Now we’re building out another section: development.

Your job starts when the restaurant has been onboarded to Wolt’s platform. As one of our first Restaurant Development Managers, you’ll be the key player in shaping the way we drive growth in our restaurant portfolio. That means analyzing metrics, setting best practices, strategy and working together with key accounts on their performance on Wolt. We’re looking for someone who has both strong analytical skills and a flair for establishing strong relationships and improving key metrics to create results for Wolt, the restaurants and ultimately the customers. Since this is a new team and a new role, you need independent and strategic thinking, solid experience in working with data, and the ability to use it to make decisions and strengthen your portfolio and relationships.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building out the way we develop our restaurants. This is a new function at Wolt Norway and hence there is a lot that needs to build out in terms of how we analyze the performance of our restaurant portfolio as well as establishing the best practices for driving growth.

  • Driving revenue growth of Wolt and partner restaurants by improving venue performance through a data-based approach.

  • Identifying key accounts to focus on and investing into high-potential partnerships. 

  • Setting up dashboards for the team and creating business reviews for our key accounts.

  • Re-negotiation general terms and conditions with restaurant partners.

  • Negotiating marketing campaigns and other initiatives to grow revenue.

  • Key communicator between our operations, support, marketing and restaurant partners.

  • Getting your hands dirty: we’re developing a lot from the scratch. Your responsibility is to bring structure.

Our humble expectations

  • Solid experience in revenue/profit/performance management or in data driven key account management role from a high-paced environment.

  • Independent and strategic mindset. There is a lot to be built out and no blueprints to follow, hence you need to have a commercial mindset and the ability to set up structures, processes, and strategy.

  • Strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with BI tools, and working with a CRM system.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt the tone to suit the audience and form strong partnerships with your key accounts. 

  • Structured, detailed, and service-oriented.

  • High ownership and ambition to go beyond the obvious.

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English.

  • Demonstrated experience in sales is a plus.

  • Passion for food and developing the best restaurants in town.
