Buyer & Catalog Manager

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. On our mobile app or website, customers can order their favorite meals from our restaurant partners, and either pick their order up or have it delivered by our courier partners.
The role you are looking at is a part of Wolt Market - our very own grocery store chain, with a great growing team. Wolt Market is our awesome concept - people across Helsinki and Turku can order their groceries and have them delivered within the next hour!
Wolt Market is growing and as such, we need a strong Buyer & Catalog Manager to lead profitable procurement and timely delivery of products as well take responsibility for our entire catalogue. This includes assessing which products should be sold and at which price.
This is an important role as our markets can’t operate without the necessary stock. Therefore we are looking for someone with great attention to detail and excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive prices. You’ll be working closely together with the rest of the Wolt Market team to build Wolt Market’s successful presence in Finland, doing whatever it takes to ensure we become the leader in this new segment.
What you’ll be doing
- Defining Wolt Market’s product catalog
- Finding suppliers for defined products
- Negotiating prices and quantities
- Constantly optimizing both sourcing and prices
- Defining the buying processes
- Identifying customer preferences
- Analyzing product sales
- Updating product selections
- Conducting marketing activities alongside brands and wholesalers
Our humble expectations
- Previous experience as a buyer, catalog manager or similar position from a retailer
- Ability to think both strategically and operationally
- Strong relationship management skills and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent organisational skills with eye for detail
- Fluent in Finnish and English
