Role Background

Due to our super fast growth, we're now looking for an IT Support Lead to join our team at the Helsinki HQ. In this brand new role you will be leading our international IT support team located in Finland, Germany, Israel and Japan. More specifically, you’ll be managing the local IT logistics; including hardware, access management, on-site support, and global guidance regarding IT issues. Wolt IT support culture is unique, because it’s not a classic support organisation. The support teams are considered as the front runners of our automation, and have a culture of automating everything.

You will be working as a member of the global IT team, reporting to the Head of IT and will be located in Helsinki HQ. This is a great opportunity to take ownership and be part of building and developing Wolt’s IT operations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the IT support team and indirectly the office managers to follow IT practices in 23 countries.
  • Enabling the team to excel in their journey by driving process efficiency; predominantly  through automation.
  • Continuously being on the lookout for opportunities to automate processes together with the team to deliver a great employee experience.
  • Enabling employees to use IT seamlessly and frictionlessly. Specifically by ensuring that employees are equipped with working hardware, meeting rooms, printers, telephony and access to the cloud services they need.
  • Managing suppliers such as Telcos, hardware manufacturers and resellers across the globe
  • Ensuring continuous great delivery by anchoring good practices and tracking repetitive activities.

  • Proven track record of enabling a technical team to shine.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; preferably with multi cultural experiences.
  • You have experience and are motivated to increase efficiency using technology.
  • You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved when needed. Overall, you’re a person who wants to lead from the front. 
  • You have a problem-solving and can-do attitude; combined with networking skills and a willingness to take initiative. 
  • You are a strong communicator and fluent in English. 
  • You are ready to travel if needed.
  • Not mandatory, but certainly a benefit if you know Python.
