Engineering Team Lead, Support Comms

World-class customer service is one of the key cornerstones of Wolt 💙 The quality of communication between our team and our customers and partners is essential as it determines how fast and accurately we can respond to inquiries and solve emerging problems. At Wolt, we currently serve over 9 million monthly users. It takes some serious work from our dedicated customer support teams in each of the 23 countries to ensure the satisfaction of those customers.
The Support Comms team is in a building phase, and you would be one of the first joiners. You would be one of the key people developing the support tools' future. The team will own the Wolt support funnel end-to-end: The team will take ownership of improving inbound support ticket handling with self-service options, automatization, and improving support associate ticket handling efficiency. Building real-time communications tooling is another essential core domain for this team.
As a team lead, you make sure we do the right things in the right ways. You are a master of facilitation while thriving to make the complex simple. You make sure the team works sustainably, cultivate personal growth, and coach happy and performing team members, enabling their growth at Wolt 🌱 Building the team will be a significant part of this role.
Alongside the team building and leading responsibilities, we are super excited if you have a solid technical background and expertise, preferably from backend or mobile development. Due to the very early stage of the team, you would be expected to contribute to software development. Excellence in software development, in general, is what we are really looking for, but especially strong prior experience in Python will also come in handy. At Wolt, we have a modern tech stack. We work a lot with Python (Flask, FastAPI), MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and appreciate it if you understand what it takes to build and operate scalable software services.

The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and Wolt stock options. The latter makes it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you'll own a piece of the pie.
