Role background 

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. We’ve grown significantly in the last four years, expanding our operations from just four countries across the Nordics, to 23 countries across Europe and Asia today. 

Our Talent Acquisition team has been on an incredible journey throughout this time too. We’re now a global team of 30+ people with bases in Helsinki, Copenhagen, Tokyo, Berlin and Tel Aviv. 

And while we’ve experienced this exciting growth on a global level, Israel in particular has been quite unique. Since launching in 2018, we have scaled to be the largest operations of all Wolt’s markets and there are no plans to slow down! :) 

As such, we’re now looking for our first local TA ‘lead’ to own all of our recruiting efforts in Israel. This means getting to the crux of our hiring needs with the leadership team and collaborating with the Central HQ operations to build and execute a recruiting strategy to enable our continued hypergrowth.

You’ll lead a local team of TA Partners, and will coach and guide them to delivering a high standard of service to both our candidates and hiring managers. You’ll also get support from our wider TA team, while also impacting global recruiting initiatives.  

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning the hiring output for Israel and leading ‘from the front’ - this means being hands on with hiring and adopting a ‘conversion first’ mindset to your recruiting funnels and KPIs. 
  • Coaching local Talent Acquisition Partners to effectively manage their recruiting processes and ensure we keep momentum without compromising on quality.
  • Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team and local Wolt leaders to create a proactive multi-channel strategy to meet our recruiting targets, and using the right blend of data and human logic to make decisions.
  • Putting candidate experience at the heart of everything you do - good service is alfa omega in recruiting!
  • Operating with a high level of attention to detail - we need clean, complete and credible data and this all comes from best practice use of the system.
  • Adding ‘spark’ to your hiring processes - truly understanding the target candidate and creating innovative and appealing job adverts or outreach campaigns.
  • Being the local expert on Israel. This includes understanding the talent market, local culture and how to overcome potential recruitment obstacles.

  • Extensive previous experience in talent acquisition.
  • Strong consultative skills - knowing how to use effective questioning techniques, listening attentively and applying the right level of critical thinking to understand the needs or motivations. 
  • Leadership experience - being able to motivate individuals and setting the right example to the team as a whole.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and strong attention to detail - knowing how to spin the plates and plan your time accordingly.   
  • Enjoy researching and have a natural curiosity for understanding competitors, target companies, channels etc. in different countries.
  • Feeling comfortable outside your comfort zone - being adaptable to change in an ever evolving and fast-moving environment.
  • Great networking skills and a strong relationship builder.
  • Passionate about hiring efficiently and effectively, and educating others to elevate them to your high standards. 
  • Possessing a true growth mindset and looking to consistently develop skills.
  • Fluent in English and Hebrew.
