Role background

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and until recently, we’ve been best known for our food delivery platform. On our mobile app or website, customers can order everything from pizza to paracetamol and either pick it up at the venue or have it delivered by our courier partners. 

We’ve been growing rapidly in Denmark ever since we entered the market in 2017. From our humble start in Copenhagen we’ve expanded to 10 other cities with even more growth to come!

This growth has been achieved due to the incredible drive of our amazing team - we're motivated to grow even more and as such, we’re looking for like-minded people to help us achieve our next goals. We plan to scale even more as we go into 2022 and our new Marketing Manager will be a crucial part of this! 

We’re looking for a motivated Marketing Manager who can lead the team, head out marketing strategy and take our growth to the next level through relevant marketing! You succeed by engaging & retaining the current user base and attracting new users to our platform.

As our Marketing Manager you'll be responsible for leading the local marketing team that is in charge of planning and executing Wolt’s customer, restaurant, retail & courier marketing in Denmark. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that we optimize our marketing budget and get the most ‘bang for our buck’. 

This involves creating campaigns that span multiple channels and boosts both Wolt’s profile and market share in Denmark. You’ll be expected to then build strong relationships with partner brands, influencers and the local media and thus need to know how and when to link impactful messages across digital, OOH and press, and then how to utilize your resources effectively.  

Reporting into the General Manager, you’ll also work with other team leads in the region to create the commercial strategy and plot the roadmap for our continued growth in Denmark.

What you’ll be doing

Grow our company further through:

  • Creation and implementation of the local marketing strategy.
  • Lead and develop the local marketing team to bring the strategy to life.
  • Defining marketing targets, forecasting, brand strategy and long-term planning.
  • Defining performance KPIs that aim to maximise efficiency of marketing spend.
  • Planning of campaigns and activities, timelines, channel allocation and execution to acquire, engage and retain our user base.
  • Analysing the performance of all channels and campaigns.
  • Managing Partnership deals with other brands including sponsorships and events.
  • Developing tactics and playbooks across different channels such as CRM, partnership, social & influencer marketing.
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
  • Work with rest of Wolt Denmark’s leadership team to grow the business.
  • Monthly, quarterly and yearly budgeting and forecasting.

Our humble expectations

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in managing a high-performing and efficiency-driven marketing team, as well as external partners. 
  • Experience of owning a multi-million marketing P&L, forecasting, financial planning and budget allocation.
  • Background of e-commerce, digital marketing, apps or hospitality online consumer products or services is preferred.
  • Proven analytical approach when using data to design, develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Prior experience in a fast-moving environment with a strong focus on achieving targets and getting things done.
  • Strong leadership skills, as well as ability to understand the appropriate tone of voice for various audiences.
  • Ability to really own a project, work independently and ask for guidance when needed.
  • Solid understanding of social media channels.
  • Native level in Danish and fluent in English.
