Role background

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. On our mobile app or website, customers can order their favorite meals or products from either our restaurant or retail partners and either pick their order up or have it delivered by our courier partners. A few years ago Wolt operated in 4 countries and 10 cities across the Nordics. Fast forward to today, we’re in 23 countries and over 90 cities across EMEA, servicing over 10M registered users.  

We recently launched in Bergen and Sandnes, and are already present in Oslo, Trondheim, Tromsø and Stavanger - with more cities to come soon. We’re expanding rapidly, from our offices in Oslo, and now we’re looking for someone to be part of this hectic, fun and rapid expansion and take full ownership of our restaurant acquisitions in Norway and lead a team of talented Restaurant Partnership Managers.

For Wolt, everything starts with restaurants. If there are no restaurants, there are no customers and if there are no customers, there are no couriers. As the Restaurant Sales Lead, your role is to manage our restaurant acquisition strategy and expansion in Norway and a team of Restaurant Partnership Managers. You will be going into the field and setting examples for your team to follow and improve Wolt’s restaurant portfolio by adding the right venues to the platform and using data to determine the focus areas. You will use your extensive sales experience to provide tools, sparring, and to coach the team.

This is a brand new role in our organization in Norway, hence you will have a lot of freedom and responsibility to shape our approach and strategy. You will have a strong base to work with as the team consists of some very talented and motivated salespeople - your job will be to develop it further and ensure we constantly grow and improve!

What you’ll be doing

  • Taking the full ownership of our Restaurant Acquisitions. Using your analytical thinking you will identify the right potential partnerships and focus both for yourself and your team. You will analyze which markets we need to improve and will provide insights about how we should further expand in Norway and what targets we should use within sales.

  • Leading by example by systematically managing your own pipeline of potential big partners.

  • Ensuring the success of your team by setting targets, motivating, sparring, coaching, managing their efforts, and whatever else it takes.

  • Doing performance reviews and sharing feedback with your Restaurant Partnership Managers.

  • Ensuring both the well-being of the team and consistent significant venue growth.

  • Evangelizing best practices and actively consulting your team.

  • Recruiting new talented Restaurant Partnership Managers into your team.

  • Facilitating a strong communications loop alongside the Onboarding and Development team.

Our humble expectations

  • You have demonstrable experience of being successful within a B2B sales position and are great at passing skills and toolbox to others.

  • You have previous people management and coaching experience, ideally within field sales. You get energy out of developing others.

  • You are skilled at motivating and developing salespeople so they can thrive and reach their KPI’s. Moreover, you are also skilled at having challenging conversations and getting things back on track in case the performance is down.

  • You have previously worked in a target-driven environment with great results. 

  • You have a very strong entrepreneurial and analytical mindset and use data to support your intuition.

  • A real foodie with good knowledge or passion for the local restaurant scene is an advantage. Experience in doing sales within Horeca is an advantage. 

  • Experience with Excel and BI tools and ideally you are very familiar with modern sales tools and systems. 

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English.
