Every euro donated to "Maisto bankas" ensures that 15 servings of food will be saved from being wasted and will instead feed those in need. "Maisto bankas" collects surplus food that's still good for consumption from grocery stores, producers, logistics companies and distrubutes it to the people who need it. "Maisto bankas" needs financial support to pay rent for the facilities where the food is being sorted, upkeep for the trucks that collect and distribute the food and the salaries for a handful of employees who rally hundreds of volunteers.
