Me and my wife had a dream to make a kitsch/retro Thai Restaurant. We wanted it not only to be a restaurant, but also to give you a feeling of being as guests in our home. Before we started, all my friends told me not to go into the restaurant business. “You give it a finger and it will take the whole hand”. That sounded like a good challenge for us, so we started to look for a place. Our chef, Butsaba, has made food since she was 10 years old. Her main teacher has been her grandmother and life in general. She had a restaurant in Nakonsowan, Thailand for many years, but since we have moved to Tallinn, we decided to start one here. I am an actor and a teater director, who didn’t know anything about the restaurant business. Since we started, it has been a beautiful journey into the unknown. I have directed around 40 plays and been acting in about 100. Starting VeryThai has been at least as creative and fun as making theater. Many times I've felt lost and I enjoyed it. Jindee Tollap
