Since ancient times, thinkers, historians, philosophers and scientists have debated to explain and find where the ALMA - “SOUL” resides. It has been shown that the SOUL, understood as the ability to remember important moments, learn from lived experiences and above all get excited about different situations, resides in the brain through its neural connections, which are represented on the label of this wine.
Each of the 5,000 bottles contains the SOUL of Luzon winery along with the dreams and passions of an entire team. A wine that Bedegas Luzon have made remembering everything they have learned, to achieve something so special that it has taught us to get excited again.
Alma de Luzón is the wine that unites emotions with the senses. From the velvety touch of part of its label, to the sight due to the vividness of its colour, the smell and of course, the taste.
Bodegas Luzon carries out a manual harvest in 15 kg boxes, leaving the fruit to macerate at a low temperature in a cold chamber for 24 hours. They carry out a selection of bunches and subsequent alcoholic fermentation in 500 kg barrels, then it goes to new French and American oak barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and we age for 22 months. After bottling, it has spent 16 months in the bottle before going on the market.
Tasting notes: Monastrell and Syrah is a unique blend. Deep cherry in colour, its aromas are expressive and intense, with notes of red and black fruits, spices and soft smoke from the ageing. On the palate it is succulent, with a balanced freshness of great character and typicality. It is a modern red with personality, with great aging potential.
